Dancehall artist Vyper Ranking has said he has no regrets about missing Jamaican singer Spice’s recent concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
The event attracted several Ugandan entertainers, including Cindy Sanyu, Ziza Bafana, Mark Da Urban, and Sheebah Karungi.
Despite the star-studded lineup, Vyper Ranking did not attend the concert or participate in the promotional press events ahead of the show.
While speaking in an interview, the singer explained that appearing at the concert would not have benefited him financially or helped grow his music career.
“Performing at Spice’s concert would not have added much to my career. I treat music as a business, so if an opportunity is not financially rewarding, I choose to stay away from it,” he stated.
The artist, however, noted that he would have taken part in the event if he had been officially booked and properly paid for the performance.
His remarks have since sparked reactions among fans and music lovers, with many debating the value of exposure versus financial gain in the entertainment industry.
