A 17-year-old student has reportedly been shot dead during protests that erupted following the declaration of President Yoweri Museveni’s electoral victory.
According to reports circulating on social media, the incident occurred amid demonstrations by members of the public who had taken to the streets to express dissatisfaction with the election results. Witnesses allege that security forces fired live bullets while attempting to disperse the protesters, during which the student was fatally shot.
The identity of the victim has not yet been officially released by authorities. The tragic death has sparked widespread outrage online, with many Ugandans condemning the use of lethal
